Cameo Corner

This part of the HobbyCutters.comTM web site is intended to answer questions that are specifically about Silhouette craftcutters and the software that drives them. It is obviously just in its beginning stages.

Currently, we have only experimented with two Silhouette models, the original Cameo and the Cameo 4. Both work with Sure-Cuts-a-Lot and with Silhouette Studio. We hope to provide more resources, tips, and tricks in the future.

  • JCL's Cameo Tips for Model Railroaders - JCL started posting information about using his Cameo for model railroading projects on a forum in 2013. It has expanded to over 100 pages of photos, tips, and tricks. To see the first page, click here. Many of the examples would apply to other brands of cutters as well, but there are questions and comments specific to Silhouette that you won't likely see anywhere else.

Conclusion

I realize that so far our reference material outweighs our project material, but we're just gettig started. Hopefully, we've provided a necessary foundation for other articles and resources I hope to provide shortly.

In addition, if you've been thinking about getting a cutter for your own or your club's purposes, I hope this helps you avoid any critical mistakes.
